Mary Garner Duncan Griffin

Mary Garner Duncan Griffin, 89 of Amarillo died Thursday Feb. 20, 2003 Graveside Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at Memorial Park East Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Griffin was born in Centerpoint, AR. She has lived in Amarillo for 60 years. She married Herman Duncan in 1937 at Turkey. He preceded her in death in 1978. Then she married R.O. Griffin, who also preceded her in death in 1990. She was a homemaker and a member of West Amarillo Church of Christ. Survivors include: 2 daughters, Pat Barkley and husband Rod of Gruver, and Gwen Williams and husband Charles of Amarillo; 1 sister, Bettie Smith of Sarasota, FL; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. The family requests memorial donations be made to Gruver United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 977, Gruver, TX 79040.
