Mary Beth Harris

Mary Beth Harris, 64, of Amarillo died Wednesday September 28, 2005 at her home. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Friday at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth with Brad Small of Amarillo South Church officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel 8310 S. Coulter St. Ms. Harris was born October 13, 1940 in Fort Worth to Lester Arthur and Mary Lee Lewis. Mary Beth's lifelong passions were her relationship with Christ and her love for family, music, flowers, nature, Spam and chocolate. Her proudest success was her role as a Christian Mother. The amazing blessings she leaves to those who knew her will be eternal. She was preceded in death by her parents; Lester and Mary Lee, and a brother; Jamie Lawrence Lewis. Survivors include: 2 daughters, Julie McDaniel of Lexington, KY and Sheila Simon of Denton; 2 sons, Tony Harris of Amarillo and Alan Harris of Shreveport, LA; 2 sisters, Nancy Schmitt of Albuquerque, NM and Ann Blackard of Canyon; and 11 grandchildren, Michael, Grant and Lauren McDaniel; Alan and Austin Simon, Jonathan, Jaden, Jacob, Jessica, Jasmine and Graham Harris. The family suggests memorial to the American Cancer Society.
