Mary 'Tootsie' Head

Mary "Tootsie" Head, 76, of Amarillo died Friday, July 2, 2021. Graveside services are scheduled for a later date. Arrangments and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. Mary was born in Paris on May 5, 1945, to Juanita Upchurch and Johnny Hawks. She lived most of her life in Amarillo. Tootsie was a very caring, loving, and selfless person who put others ahead of herself. She was a loyal dedicated wife to her husband Ernest, for over 30 years. She was a proud widow of a Vietnam veteran. She enjoyed needle pointing and watching movies, but her joy in life was her grandbabies. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her stepdad, Curtis Upchurch, and one brother, Ronnie Upchurch. She is survived by her son Loy Waggoner and his wife Angela Rossa, her stepson, Patrick Head, one brother, Keith Upchurch, and 12 grandchildren. Direct Cremation Sunday, July 04, 2021
