Mary Johnson Luther

Mary Johnson Luther 81, of Amarillo died Friday, July 18, 2014 in Amarillo. Services will be at 11:00 AM Monday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Rev. T.C. Messer, pastor of Harvest Time Pentecostal Church of God officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mary was born on January 13, 1933 in Wheeler to Horace and Viola (Aaron) Johnson. She moved to Amarillo in 1959. She was a homemaker. Mary was very fond of her church family and loved helping her friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, her son, Gregory, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by one son, Michael Luther of Amarillo; 2 daughters, Debby Gillispie and her husband Leon of Amarillo and Claytia Doran and her husband Densel of Waco; 2 sisters, Juanita Bowie of Rio Rico, Ariz., and Georgia Jarrett of Colorado Springs, Colo; 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorial donations to Faith City Mission or City Church.
