Mary Carolyn Marcum

Mary Carolyn Marcum, 73, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018, in Amarillo, TX. She was born October 12, 1944, in Portales, NM, to Arthur and Mary Alyce Robertson. The family moved to Amarillo in 1949, where Mary grew up, married and had three children. She had a booth for several years at T Anchor and then at the Old ICX Flea Market. She and a friend later opened an antique store on 6th Street in Amarillo. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a sister and her daughter, Terri Cook. She is survived by her sons, Gary Marcum and wife, Sissy of Amarillo, and Steven Marcum and wife, Ricki of Tennessee; her son-in-law, Rob Cook of Amarillo; sisters Linda Robertson of Amarillo, Lois Ricks of White Deer and Melissa Morris of Alvin, TX; brothers Ed Hastings of San Antonio, Randy Hastings of Odessa and Tim Hastings of Seattle, WA; sisters-in-law Belia Robertson of Houston and Kim Robertson of Odessa; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces; and her best friend, Sandy Vasquez of Amarillo. There will be no services, at Mary's request.
