Mary Elizabeth Mccormick

Mary was born in Bartow, Florida to Otis and Evelyn Hines on February 18, 1931. She married Clarence F. McCormick in 1951. They were married 55 years. Mary was a homemaker and volunteer at the local Hospital in Lakeland, Florida for many years and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Paramount Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers, Charles Hines, Otis "Buddy" Hines, Dewey Hines and her sister, Clara Nunez. Mary is survived by her daughter, Linda Johnson and husband, Dr. Larry Johnson, grandchildren Peyton Johnson and Alex Johnson and great granddaughter, Marley Johnson all of Amarillo, sisters Betty Jo Brantley of Bryceville, Florida and Kathy Hardesty of El Mirage, Arizona as well as numerous nieces and nephews. At her request, there will be no services at the time. Burial will be in LLano Cemetery with arrangements by Rector Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Harrington and Moore Assisted Living and BSA Hospice of the Southwest for their care and kindness.
