Mary Wilkinson Rannals Newland

Mary Wilkinson Rannals Newland, 89, of Amarillo, Texas went to be with her Lord Friday, April 11, 2014. Services will be Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, located at 2800 S. Osage Street with Reverends Max Beggs and Billy Snider of San Jacinto Assembly of God Church will be officiating. Private burial to follow the service. The family will receive friends at the Osage Chapel one hour prior to the funeral. Mary was born October 7, 1924 to Joe and Dona Wilkinson in Honey Grove, Texas. She has one surviving sister, Bea Hicks, of Honey Grove, Texas. Mary had been an adult teacher and church member at San Jacinto Assembly of God for many years. She was self-employed as a beauty operator in her home for over 50 yearsbefore retiring several years ago. Mary loved the Lord and was a devout prayer warrior. She had many who requested and coveted her prayers. She loved her family and will be missed by all who knew her. Mary was preceded in death by her late husband, Lewis Newland, her sisters Opal Shelton of Borger and Annie Sutton of Bonham; her brothers, A. J. Page and Billy Dean Wylie of Amarillo and Ed Page, Ruben Page, Charlie Page and Louie Page, all of Honey Grove and daughter-in-law, Betty Rannals, of Amarillo, TX. She is survived by her daughters, Betty Gilbreath and husband T.J. of Amarillo and Rita Meek and husband Steve of Cleveland, Texas. She is also survived by a son, Eugene Rannals of Amarillo. She had seven grandchildren; Mark Gilbreath of Amarillo and wife Julie, Susan Montgomery of Amarillo and husband D.D., James Rannals of Amarillo, Stephanie Rannals of Amarillo, J.P. Slaton of Houston and wife Brandi, Michelle Nowak of Houston and husband Nick, Bethany Steffenauer of Houston and husband Paul. She had fifteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren along with many nephews, nieces and a great host of friends. The family suggests memorials be made to San Jacinto Assembly of God Church Missions or The Alzheimers Association.
