Mary Ann Stephens

Mary Ann Stephens was born September 2nd, 1938 in Canyon, Texas to William E. Shelnutt and Effie Shelnutt. During her many years with us she made family a priority. Mary was always available to lend a hand or give advice to everyone in her life, and had a special eye for making something out of what others would consider nothing. Making the time to visit her family in Oklahoma was very important to her. She marked these trips North by making memories playing dominoes while surrounded by family and friends. Mary passed in her sleep the morning of January 8th, 2017 in Amarillo at the age of 78. Mary is survived and deeply missed by her sister Loree Shelnutt Simmons of Claremore, OK and both of her daughters, Debra Johnson of Amarillo and Mary Jane Caliway of Savannah, TN. Also, her grandchildren Melissa Woodroffe, Emily Martinez, Nicole Whitfield, and Jerry Whitfield, as well as her great grandchildren Lorelei, Aidan, Ryan, and Kacee. She will also be deeply missed by her close friend and companion Clyde Elliot, as well as countless extended family and friends.
