Mary Beth Waddell

Mary Beth Waddell, 57, of Amarillo died September 1, 2020. A private family memorial service is scheduled for a later date. Arrangements and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. Marry Beth was born February 12, 1963 in Pampa to Joy and Robert Waddell. She graduated from Tascosa High School in 1981. She worked as an optician for Coulter Drive Optical for 9 years and loved her work family dearly. Mary Beth is beloved by all her family, friends, and co workers for her kind and gentle spirit. She was a cherished mother, sister, aunt, friend and devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys. She was also a professional lamp collector, as well as candles and many other holiday decorations. Her hobbies included rearranging her decorations while maintaining her position as arm chair quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys. She loved reading and taking walks, as she was a quiet and gentle soul (unless the game was on) and she will be missed by many. Mary Beth faced cancer bravely before being welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus. Mary Beth is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son, the joy of her life Austin Hartranft; her sister, Melissa Connor; nephew, Christopher Connor; her dearest childhood friend, Cathy Waddle; and her adorable dog "Hubbles".
