Maureen Olsen

Maureen ""Mum"" Olsen, 69 of Amarillo died Sunday February 25, 2007 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Friday at Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel with Rev. Robert Field, retired Baptist minister officiating. Cremation and arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel 8310 S. Coulter Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Olsen was born in Dunstable, England. She married the love of her life, Lloyd on December 17, 1954 at Luton, England. During his service in the U.S. Air Force, they were stationed in England, Germany and Italy. They moved to Maryland and then to Amarillo. She loved working as a waitress at the Waffle House on Hollywood Road. She had many loyal customers and was very fond of her co-workers and manager. Mrs. Olsen loved her cats and was totally devoted to caring for them. Survivors include: her husband, 2 daughters; Debbie Grover and her husband Jim of Columbia, MD and Suzy Casey of Dover, DE, 4 sons; John Olsen of Penzance, England, Tim Olsen and his wife AnnMarie of Manchester, England, Rick Olsen and his wife Paula of Mildenhall, England and Tony Olsen and his wife Regina of Borger, 1 sister; Edna Malloy of Dunstable, England, 1 brother; Ken Howard and his wife Molly of Appley Bridge, England, 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
