Max Molina

Rosary will be said at 6:00 pm Tuesday, August 31 in the Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, September 1 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Monsignor Rex Nicholl as celebrant. Interment will follow at Llano Cemetery East. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Max was born on July 30, 1930 in Amarillo. He served his country, proudly, in the United States Army, and later relocated to Riverside, CA where he worked in construction for many years. In 1989, he returned to Amarillo where he was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Max married the love of his life, Ida Garcia, in 1951. They cherished many years together until her passing in 1997. He was preceded in death by his wife; daughter, Barbara; brothers, Frank Molina and David Spencer; and a nephew, Mike Molina. Survivors include 3 daughters, Sylvia Molina of Amarillo, Vera Aguilar and husband Herman of Yucaipa, CA, and Juanita Martinez and husband Randy of Amarillo; a son, Carlos Molina of Desert Hot Springs, CA; a sister, Veronica Spencer of Amarillo; 2 brothers, Nacho Molina and Rudy Spencer both of CA; and 4 grandsons, Nick, Patrick, Eric, and Jacob. The family will receive friends at 1004 Gordon St. following the service.
