Maxine Hawthorne Cheney

Maxine Hawthorne Cheney 87, of St. Michael, MN died Sunday December 14, 2014. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday in Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Maxine was born on September 15, 1927 near Duke, OK to E.L. and Myrtle Hawthorne. She attended beauty school in 1961. Maxine owned and operated a beauty shop in Altus for many years. She was united in marriage to Don Cheney in November 1973 he preceded her in death in 2003. She is preceded in death by: a son: Craig Cusick, and a brother J.W. Buck Hawthorne. Survivors include: a Grandson: Craig Cusick Jr. and Family, a Granddaughter: Christine Cusick and Family both of Atlanta, GA. A brother William B. Buddy Hawthorne of Altus OK. Two sisters Beverly Price- Bowman of Monahans, and Dorothy Lenelle Dottie Hawthorne Taylor of Sunray. Numerous nieces and nephews.
