Michael Philip Beckworth

Michael Philip Beckworth 30, of Amarillo died Sunday Dec. 23, 2007. Celebration of life services will be at 6:00 PM Friday at Westover Fellowship Church. Burial was Wednesday in Fairview Cemetery at Memphis. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Michael was born in Amarillo. He moved to Memphis at the age of 3. He graduated from Memphis High School. After high school, Michael attended Clarendon College where he received an associate's degree in Ranch and Feedlot Operations. He worked at various ranches in the Panhandle. He moved to Amarillo in 2002 from Snyder. After returning to Amarillo, Michael attended the Amarillo College Mortuary Science Program. He worked at Rector Funeral Home until January 2005, when he was called to enter the ministry. Michael worked with the youth at Westover Fellowship Church. Michael was a very loving person who never met a stranger. Michael married Amber Elliott in 2001 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife of Amarillo, 2 sons; John and Jimmy Beckworth of the home, his parents; Kelly and Maurine Beckworth of Memphis and Mark and Nancy Goring of San Antonio, his brother; Adam Beckworth of New York, NY, his grandparents; A.V. ""Beck"" Beckworth of Amarillo and Austin and Eunice Freeman of Pampa. The family suggests memorial donations be to Harvest Church.
