Michael Anthony Garcia

Michael Anthony Garcia, 35, of Amarillo died Wednesday, October 5, 2022. Funeral is 11:00 Am Tuesday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Arrangements and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive guests for visitation Monday 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Michael was born on April 27, 1987, in Amarillo to Michael and Martha Garcia. He graduated from Caprock High School in 2005. He moved to San Antonio in 2010. He loved spending time with his friends and his animals. Michael moved back to Amarillo in August of 2022. Michael was funny, goofy, and had a free spirit. He was an animal advocate. He had a passion for animals and especially loved his dog, Eydie. Michael was very kind and had a good heart. He enjoyed thrift shopping and going to Good Will. Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bartolo and Lupe Esparza, his grandfather, Joseph Garcia, and one aunt, Michelle Garcia. He is survived by his mother, Martha Arevalo, and her husband Sergio, his father, Michael Garcia and his wife Karen, his grandmother, Mary Garcia, two brothers; Jason Garcia and his wife Tami, and James Garcia, his three nephews; Josiah, James Jr. and Kai Garcia, and his dog, Eydie.
