Michael Victor 'Tex' Mcreynolds

Michael Victor "Tex" McReynolds, 65, passed away Friday, August 4, 2023. The memorial service is 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 9, at the Church at Quail Creek. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive guests from 5-7 pm on Tuesday August 8, at the funeral home. Mike was born on April 21, 1958, in Clayton, New Mexico to Donald and Senaida McReynolds. He graduated from Caprock high school in 1976 and went to work for IBP where he met the love of his life, Pam. They married on October 17, 1977 & raised three children, Jerrod, Tosha, and Don. He was a stern, loving father that held his kids to a high standard. Mike was a devoted husband who always took care of Pam. Mike was also known to spoil his dogs Haley & Harley. Harleys passing a few months ago hit him hard. Peepaw, as he was known to his grandchildren was the loudest fan at Mikee Belles basketball games. He never missed an opportunity to be in the stands cheering on his granddaughter and her teammates. He was a master at throwing out one-liners that his kids often repeat to this day. Mike was an excellent provider who worked hard at Tyson (formerly IBP) for almost 45 years. When he moved to Kansas he was given the nickname "Tex" by his new coworkers who he considered his other family. He loved shooting guns and looked forward to going shooting with some of the gentlemen from his church. Mike loved the Lord and shared his faith in Jesus with anyone he could. His work ethic, joy, and jolly disposition left a lasting impression on the staff of the Church at Quail Creek where he was employed at the time of his passing. Mike was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, loved riding his Harley, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was very handy and could fix just about anything. Mike would help anyone at any time. He was a selfless, confident guy who never, ever met a stranger. He loved his country and was very patriotic. Mike was preceded in death by his dad, Donald Alvin McReynolds. He is survived by his mother, Senaida, his wife of 45 years, Pam McReynolds, his daughter, Tosha Cornali and her husband Nic, two sons: Jerrod McReynolds and his wife Mollie, and Don McReynolds and his wife Jacque, five grandchildren: Steven McReynolds, Tanner McReynolds (Peepaw loved you Tan), Mikee Belle McReynolds, Chesten Timothy, and Cayla Annibelle, one sister, Linda McReynolds, and one brother, Patrick McReynolds. Many nieces, nephews & in-laws.
