Mickey Joe Perez, 34 of Amarillo died Wednesday, June 15, 2022. Funeral Service is 10 am Wednesday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel officiated by Fr. Mayorga with St. Hyacinths. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive guests Monday 6-8 pm for visitation and Tuesday 6-8 for the rosary at the funeral home. Mickey was born June 26, 1987, in Amarillo to Ruben and Judy Perez. Mickey Joe loved spending time with his family, especially his daughter. His greatest joy was watching his daughter grow. As a young child, he had a love for the game of baseball and he carried on this passion by playing softball with his father. Mickey had a hidden talent for drawing, he often expressed his love by gifting his illustrations. Mickey played his cards close to his chest. Hidden behind his soft-spoken humor was a kind, caring, and generous heart that those closest to him will always remember. His family will think of him while watching superhero movies, playing cards, celebrating Christmas, and much much more. Mickey will forever be loved and greatly missed. Preceded on death- grandparents Jose Perez, Consuelo Perez, Mickey Clark, Carolyn Clark and uncle Ernie Perez. Surviving relatives are parents Ruben and Judy Perez, sister Nikki Gowdy and husband Mark of Irving TX, and daughter Mickenzie Perez of Amarillo, along with lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
