Mike Johnson

A celebration of his life will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 26 at Paramount Baptist Church Exp Building. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Mike was born on June 28, 1959 in Amarillo to Bill and Martha Johnson. They later resided in Canyon where he graduated from Canyon High School. He worked as a trim carpenter for 30 yrs. Mike had a tremendous passion for soccer, especially as an avid Manchester United Red Devil fan, and devoted his time to coaching several local teams. He also enjoyed watching car races, and being in the mountains. His family held a special place in his heart, and he cherished each moment spent with his grandchildren. A kind heart and great sense of humor are a few of his many qualities that will be treasured in the hearts of all he knew. Survivors include a son, Aaron Johnson of Pampa; his daughter, Sandee Taylor and husband Robin of Amarillo; his mother, Martha F. Johnson of Amarillo; his grandchildren, Jordan, Kaylee, and Brooklyn Taylor all of Amarillo, and Shea, Kaydon, and Koy Johnson all of Pampa.
