Mildred Mae Lunz

Mildred Mae Lunz 92, of Amarillo died Monday, March 9, 2020 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2 pm Thursday at Dalhart Cemetery with John A. Miller, III, O.D.ML, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Lunz was born on April 24, 1927 in Sioux City, IA. She lived in Dixon, Nebraska and Dalhart before moving to Amarillo more than 10 years ago. She was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church where she was fondly known as "Millie". She enjoyed reading and studying her Bible. Mildred was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She married "Chet" Lunz on Feb. 10, 1953 in Stanton, NE. He preceded her in death in 1983. She is survived by two daughters, Connie Lunz-Sanders and Linda Todd, both of Amarillo; four sons, Wayne Lunz of Dixon, NE, Gary Lunz of Laurel, NE, Dean Lunz of Louisville, KY and Larry Lunz of Stover, MO; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The family requests memorial donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
