Milton Dale Trotter

Milton Dale Trotter, 77, of Amarillo died Wednesday April 30, 2014. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Highland Christian Church with Jack Weebs, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Trotter was born May 1, 1936, in Hollis, Okla., to Milton William and Lila Opal Trotter. He moved to Amarillo more than 50 years ago. He served in the Army in the military police. Mr. Trotter worked as a machinist for many years. He was a member of Highland Christian Church. He married Sandra Lambright in 1964. She preceded him in death in 2012. He also was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Malone, in 2004. Survivors include a daughter, Debra Horton and husband Steve of Garrison; a son, Melvin Trotter of Portland, Ore.; a sister, Arvella Potter of Valley View; his grandson and caretaker, Jeremy Browning and wife Sheena; 12 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Highland Christian Church, 3617 S.E. 29th Ave., Amarillo, TX 79103.
