Minnie Ola Jennings

Minnie Ola Jennings 96 of Amarillo died Saturday February 8, 2014 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Monday at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Lennie McCay associate pastor of Washington Avenue Christian Church officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Jennings was born in Hollis, OK on January 29, 1918 to Oliver and Ruby Pringle. She moved to Amarillo in 1957 from Wheeler. She was a homemaker and a wonderful cook. She married Truitt Jennings on December 25, 1936. He died in 1984. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Juanell Thompson on January 7, 2014. Survivors include two daughters, Maxine Johnson and her husband Murrel of Lubbock and Jean Perras of Sun City, AZ; two sons, Jimmy Jennings and his wife Cynthia and Harold Jennings and his wife Tempie all of Amarillo; one sister, Neoma Nelson of Amarillo; 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
