Minta Mae Beaver-Dewey 93, of Amarillo died Thursday, December 15, 2016 in Amarillo. Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Bradley Speer, pastor of Oasis Southwest Baptist Church officiating. Private family burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Ms. Dewey was born in Quinter, KS. She moved to Amarillo in 1945 from Wichita, KS. She worked as a riveter on gliders during WWII. After moving to Amarillo, She was a homemaker and worked at Maywood Manufacturing for 20 years. She was a loyal member of Buchannan Street United Methodist Church. Ms. Dewey was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Penny Dewey in 1978. She is survived by three sons, Larry Dewey and his wife Lynne of Bedford, Darrell Dewey and his wife Janet of Amarillo and Thomas Dewey and his wife Lucille of Thornton, CO; two daughters, Linda Rodgers and her husband Sam and Donna Haley and her husband Darren all of Amarillo; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. The family suggest memorial donations to BSA Hospice of the Southwest, 6600 Kilgore, Amarillo, Texas 79106.
