Mona Louise Thompson

Mona Louise Thompson, 64, of Amarillo died Sunday April 6, 2003 at Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday April 9, 2003 at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Dr. David Evans, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St., Amarillo, Texas, 79103. Mrs. Thompson was born in Littlefield, Texas. She married Billy Roy Thompson in 1955. She moved to Amarillo in 1961 from Hereford. She worked for Furrs grocery stores, including Homeland and Food King for 36 years in the produce department. She retired in 1998. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Survivors include 4 daughters, Carla Ivey, Cindy Knierin, and Diana Thompson all of Amarillo, and Chrystal Proffitt of Waxahachie, TX; 1 son, Rickey Roy Thompson of Amarillo; 1 sister, Ardie Boucher of Kinosha, Wisconsin; 2 brothers, Bill Frerrich of Las Vegas, NV, and Anthony of Golden, CO; and 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Roy Thompson in 1992, and 3 grandchildren, Philip and Jason Thompson in 1988 and Ryan Proffitt in 1983.
