Nancy Ruth Skinner

Nancy Ruth Skinner 82, of Amarillo died Saturday, January 6, 2018 in Amarillo. Services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Jody Meason, Children's Minister at Oasis Southwest Baptist Church officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Skinner was born on April 3, 1935 in Marshall. She was raised in Shamrock. She moved to Pampa where she worked as a beautician before moving to Amarillo in 1973. She owned and operated Nancy's Beauty Corner in Amarillo where she made many life-long friends. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She married Horace Cleveland Anderson in 1950. He preceded her in death in 1957. She married Oran "Toots" Skinner in 1958. He passed away in 1985. She was also preceded in death by a son, Mike Anderson in 2004 and a granddaughter, Amber Anderson in 2015. She is survived by two sons, Danny Anderson and his wife Pam and Lester Skinner all of Amarillo; one sister, Sandra Deviney of Temple; four grandchildren, Dee-Jay, Tabitha, Scott and Kristal and 12 great-grandchildren.
