Nelson Cardwell

Nelson Cardwell, Jr. 26, of Amarillo died Sunday April 28, 2013 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at Trinity Fellowship Church, West Auditorium with Randy Srader, pastor of God of Wonders Church officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Nelson, Jr. was born in Amarillo. He was a talented, kind-hearted and very generous person. He was also the best brother ever. He loved playing pool and spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved Sunday cookouts with his family. Nelson, Jr. was a hard worker. At the time of his death, he was employed for the City of Amarillo and was working at the Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport as a diesel mechanic. Nelson, Jr. loved his family. He was the proud father of 2 daughters, Nicole Cardwell and Kati Chantelle Cardwell. Kati preceded him in death in 2009. He is survived by his fianc, Kristina Leavitt of Amarillo; one daughter, Nicole Avery Cardwell of Amarillo; his step-son, David Pulsifer of Amarillo; his mother and step-father, Shelley and Coby Blevins of Amarillo; his father, Nelson Cardwell of Amarillo; one brother, Chase Blevins of Amarillo; his grandparents, GW and Shirley Flatt, Louis Cardwell and Rose Cardwell, all of Amarillo and many aunts, uncles and cousins. The family requests memorial donations, in lieu of flowers be made to the Nicole Avery Cardwell fund in care of any Amarillo National Bank location.
