Neoma Rector Oldham

Neoma Rector Oldham 87 of Amarillo died Thursday September 25, 2009 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Monday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Jay Franks, pastor of Compass Christian Church in Colleyville officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Oldham was born in Chaney, OK. She graduated from Samnorwood High School. She moved to Amarillo in 1960 from the Hereford/Friona area. Mrs. Oldham was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She loved collecting special items from her family. Mrs. Oldham was a member of Paramount Baptist Church. She married Elmer Lee Oldham on September 7, 1940. They just celebrated their 69th anniversary. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staffs of Texan Nursing and Rehab, Pampa Nursing Center and Odyssey Healthcare for the wonderful love and care they extended to our wife and mother. Steve and Carol Nugent would like to express their gratitude to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Southwest Congregation for their many prayers and acts of kindness. Mrs. Oldham is survived by her husband, 1 daughter, Carol Nugent and her husband Steve of Amarillo; 3 sons, Jim Oldham and his wife Glynelle of Amarillo, Darrell Oldham and his wife Jan of Middleville, MI and Jack Oldham and his wife Linda of Abiquicu, NM; 2 brothers, Floyd Rector of Lubbock and Lloyd Rector of Friona; 1 sister, Clara Trowbridge of Hereford; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Texan Nursing and Rehab, 4033 SW 51st St. Amarillo, Texas 79109.
