Nola Carter

Nola Carter, 93 of Amarillo died Saturday June 9, 2008. Services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday at Memory Garden Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Robert E. Field, retired Baptist minister officiating. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 8310 S. Coulter St. Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Carter was born in Washington, OK. She moved to Amarillo in 1958 from Artesia, NM. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Mrs. Carter was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She married Daniel Carter in December of 1936. He preceded her in death in 1984. Survivors include: 2 sons; Jerry Carter and his wife Karen of Amarillo and Tommy Carter and his wife Connie of Calimesa, CA, 1 sister; Hazel Pierce of Belen, NM, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Tuesday, at the funeral home
