Norma was born on January 21, 1941, in Amarillo, Texas to Edith Marie (Forguson) and Frank Lee Schmidt. She attended Claude High School. She also attended First Baptist Church of Claude.

On October 11, 1957, Norma married C. M. Bryant, Jr. The two grew up living within a mile of one another and would ride the bus to and from school together. Their lifelong connection grew into a beautiful marriage that spanned 68 years.

Norma and C. M. spent the majority of their lives farming their land in Armstrong County, a life they deeply loved and took great pride in. She was also active in the Fairview Community, where she built lasting friendships and remained closely connected to those around her. Norma worked for Levi Strauss and Lingerie Allure, dedicating fifteen years to each company. She was known for her strong work ethic and friendships she built along the way.

Norma enjoyed playing card games, dominoes, and bowling. She loved to win and was occasionally known to bend the rules every now and then. She also enjoyed going roller skating, water skiing, and embracing life with energy and fun.

Above all, Norma treasured spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She rarely missed their sporting events and was their biggest cheerleader, proudly supporting them in everything they did.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, and her grandson, Nick Lewis.

She is survived by her loving husband, C. M. Bryant, Jr.; her daughters, Brenda Butler and husband Jimmy, Lynn Lewis and husband Mark, and Nikkole Inman and husband Sam; grandchildren, Brooke VanWinkle, Kirby Godfrey, Matt Butler, Josh Lewis, Spencer Inman, Ike Inman, and Gunner Inman; great-grandchildren, Gracie VanWinkle, Chloe VanWinkle, Molly VanWinkle, Layla Godfrey, Trapper Godfrey, Jett Godfrey, Willow Godfrey, Morgan Butler, Blake Butler, Cooper Butler, Kinslee Lewis, and Hunter Lewis; and a sister by heart, Sandra Davenport.
