Oleta Sue Smith Bennett, 70, of Amarillo died Friday, June 9, 2018 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at the Olton Cemetery in Olton. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas Oleta was born on August 22, 1947 in Lamesa, Texas to Ruby and Ollie Smith. She graduated from Olton High School in 1965. She was a licensed beautician and a homemaker. Oleta married the love of her life, Jimmy Wayne Bennett, in 1967. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Smith, and her husband, Jimmy Bennett. Survivors include her father Ollie Smith and her brother Larry Smith both of Olton; one daughter Rhonda Bennett of Amarillo; and her son Larry Bennett of Amarillo, TX.
