Oliver 'O.P' Talley

Oliver O.P Talley 90, of Amarillo died Tuesday May 20, 2014 in Amarillo. Private Memorial services will be held Friday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Merrel Gilbert, officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. O.P was born on April 15, 1924 in Ralls, Texas to Henry and Ethel Talley he was raised in Norman, Oklahoma and later moved to Amarillo AFB in 1960. He attended Amarillo College and served in the Marine Corps during World War II. O.P retired from the Air Force in 1964 as a Tech Sgt. after his retirement he worked for SPS for 8 years, Potter Co. Sherriff Department for 9 years and Mesa Petroleum Plant for 4 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Irmgard, a brother and a sister. He is survived by his son Werner Talley and wife Carolyn of Canyon, a sister Evelyn Dolch of Winfield, KS and a grandson Clint Talley of Dalhart. Family would like to thank the staff at Northwest Texas Hospital, Dr. Salil Trehan and his staff, and their special friend Brenda Pugh for all their care and support.
