Opal Wright

Opal Wright, 91 of Amarillo died Saturday March 31, 2007 at her home. Services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel with Rev. Jeff Raines, associate pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel 8310 S. Coulter Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Wright was born in DeHaven, Union County, NM, on a ranch that her father homesteaded in 1915. She and her family were active in cattle ranching near Clayton, NM, for many years. She married Clenton L. Wright on June 15, 1942 at Clayton. They moved to Amarillo in 1971. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996 and by 2 brothers; Russell Frazier and Dick Frazier. Survivors include: 1 daughter; Doris Rogers and her husband David of Amarillo, 1 son; Carl Wright and his wife Mary of Tucumcari, NM1 sister; Erma Humphreys of Nashville, Ark., 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
