Pablo N. Martinez

Pablo N. Martinez 91 of Amarillo died Monday August 25, 2008 in Amarillo. Rosary will be at 6:00 PM Tuesday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Mass will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Msgr. Rex Nicholl officiating. Graveside services will be at 5:00 PM at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Plainview. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas 79103 Mr. Martinez was born April 28, 1917 in San Angelo to Jose Maria Martinez and Rumalda Nunez Martinez. He moved to Amarillo in 1993 from Plainview. Mr. Martinez was blessed with 7 children, whom he raised with love and left a life lesson of hard work and respect. He married Aurora Valdez on August 6, 1938 at San Angelo. She died in 1980. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Linda T. Sierra. Survivors include 5 daughters, Carlota Morales and her husband Casper and Carmela Rios and her husband Alex all of Amarillo, Carolina Madrid and her husband Joe De La Garza of Lubbock, Consuelo Salas and her husband Santiago of Rio Rancho, NM and Criselda Meeks of San Jose, CA; 2 sons, Pablo V. Martinez and his wife Cookie of Farmington, NM and Michael Martinez and his wife Constance of Sacramento, CA; 23 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at 1623 S. Buchanan.
