Announcement: Please join the family for a celebration of Pat's life from 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm Saturday, January 7, 2006 at the Roadrunner Room of the Student Center at Midland College. The family and I would like to share with our Midland friends, some of God's blessings on our lives together. Dress will be casual and feel free to come and go. Love, Bob, Cami, Dawn and Amy Patricia Ann Coleman-Haines, 50 of Midland died Sunday January 1, 2006 in Amarillo Services were at 2:00 PM Wednesday January 4th at South Georgia Baptist Church with Dr. John Gerlach, pastor of Crestview Baptist Church of Midland and Bob Miller, pastor of South Georgia Baptist Church assisting. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel, 8310 South Coulter Amarillo. Mrs. Haines was born at the Amarillo Air Force Base April 13, 1955 to Gene and Johnnie Mae Coleman. She graduated from Tascosa High School in 1973. She received her teaching degree from West Texas State University and her Masters degree from Waylon Baptist University. Mrs. Haines taught at Bonham Middle School before moving to Midland in 1993 where she was currently an Algebra teacher at Alamo Jr. High. She married Robert ""Bob"" Haines on June 2, 1973 at Amarillo. She was a member of Crestview Baptist Church in Midland and the Cherokee Tribe. Patricia passed away Sunday, January 1, 2006 in an automobile accident. She died after having a wonderful two week vacation which included celebrating the birth of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ with her parents, children and grandchildren in Amarillo and a week with her children and grandchildren in Pagosa Springs, CO. Survivors include: her husband of the home; 3 daughters, Victoria Camille Chen and her husband Stan of Forney, Vanessa Dawn King and her husband Philip of Aubrey and Amy Marie Haines and her fianc Jim Schmidt of Mesquite; her parents, Gene and Johnnie Mae Coleman of Amarillo; 1 sister Jeannie Coleman of Jacksonville, Arkansas; 1 brother, Dean Coleman and his wife Sharon of Amarillo and 3 grandchildren, Joshua Chen, Isabel King and Madeline King and a grandbaby due in June, Baby K Chen. The family requests memorial donations to the Crestview Baptist Church building fund or the Midland College Foundation.
