Patricia Jean Lester

Patricia Jean "Patty" (Holmes) Lester, 76, of Amarillo, Texas went to be with the Lord on June 28, 2018. Patty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all. Patty had a God given gift of music where she began playing the piano at a very young age. She played the piano at several Baptist churches in Amarillo and taught piano and organ lessons. Patty received her Masters degree in Education at West Texas A&M University and retired after 33 years as a third-grade teacher at South Lawn Elementary. Pattys love for helping others was demonstrated by crocheting hats and blankets for premature babies. Patty was also an avid member of Al-Anon for 28 years where she sponsored numerous women. Patty is survived by her daughter Natalie Lester of Texhoma, TX, son James Lester of Amarillo, TX, Grandson James Murdoch, his wife Joy, and their daughter Gracie Peters of Bulverde TX, Granddaughter Holly Torrez and daughter Izabella Torrez of Topeka, KS. Memorial Service First Baptist Church Tuesday, July 03, 2018 2:00 PM 1208 South Tyler Amarillo, Texas 79101 Service will be held in the First Baptist Chapel.
