Patricia Vitali

Patricia Vitali, 76 of Amarillo, died Wednesday March 19, 2008. Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday at St. Hyacinth's Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Raymond Crosier officiating. Rosary will be at 6:00 PM Sunday at Rector Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Vitali was born in Amarillo and has lived here all her life. She graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School. She married David Vitali in 1949 at Amarillo. She worked as a swimming instructor and as a preschool teacher for the Amarillo Community Center. After obtaining her cosmetology license from Amarillo College, she worked as a hairdresser for several years. She was the owner of the West Hills Beauty Salon in the 1980's. She then worked at Sears until she retired. She was a former member of the Rosary Alter Society. She also did volunteer work at Northwest Texas Hospital during the 1980's. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Stanislao, and by a son-in-law, Sammy Cross. Survivors include: her husband of the home; 6 daughters, Michelle Bailey and husband Terry, Georgiana Wright and husband Tommy, Sherry Cross, Geneva Gerken and husband Dan, Christy Sursa and husband Chris all of Amarillo, and Teresa Alsdurf and husband Jack of Frisco; 1 son, David Vitali and wife Cheryl of Westminster, CO; 1 sister, Mary Eden of Winter Park, FL; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
