Patricia 'Pat' Wilson

Patricia "Pat" Wilson, 73 of Archer City, died Thursday February 27, 2014 in Canyon, TX. She was the widow of Robert "Shorty" Wilson, who passed away in 1995. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Archer City with John Welter, Director of Scarlet Letter Ministries, officiating. Cremation arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel in Amarillo. Pat was born in Aransas Pass on August 23, 1940 to Roy and Irene York. She grew up in Henrietta and lived in Archer City for most of her life. Pat worked many jobs throughout the years but most will remember her as the lady who always delivered the Wichita Falls Times & Record News on time for more than 11 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by a son, Michael Wilson of Fort Worth, 4 daughters, Rhonda Steinberger and Kelly Smith of Archer City, Wanda Goforth-Snyder of Burkburnett, and Patsy Norman of Canyon, 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Leon, Bobby, and Jerry York. Her family will gather at the church prior to the funeral.
