Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S Osage. Paul was born April 17, 1942 to Mamie and Cyrus Allison in Amarillo. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served for 22 years. Paul was a wonderful father and ideal husband who lived and loved to serve the Lord. He was the perfect example of the hands and feet of Jesus. A loving father and grandfather, Paul absolutely adored his 3 great- granddaughters. He and his wife, Betty, were foster parents to many, many special needs children over the years. No couple ever loved babies and children more than they did. Paul met Betty when they were just infants in the nursery at church. A few years later, at the age of 13, the two started going together. They married on Friday, January 13, 1961 and were looking forward to celebrating 60 years of marriage in just a few months. Every time there was a Friday the 13 th , regardless of the month, Paul and Betty celebrated it, stating that it could not be bad luck, since they had married on one and had such a long, successful and loving marriage. Paul was incredibly hard working and sacrificial. He worked 7 days a week at South Georgia Baptist Church right up until his death. Pauls life can be summed up by his favorite quote by John Wesley: "Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can." Paul was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Nina Pauline Beadle and Norma Jean Allison. He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Betty; his three daughters, Kathy, Rachel Allison, and Cyndi Acuff and her husband David; his three sons, Jake, Daniel, and Rick Allison and his wife Sharon; six grandchildren, Josh, Tiffani, Eric, Jared, Taryn and Rebekah; and three great grandchildren, Anna, Amberly, Alivia.
