Paul Furhmann

Paul Furhmann 83, of Amarillo died Saturday, December 17, 2011 after a tragic automobile accident. Services will be at a later date at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. Cremation and arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Furhmann was born in Bayonne, NJ. He served in the Army during WWII. After being honorable discharged from the Army, Mr. Furhmann enlisted in the Air Force where he served during the Korean War. He retired as a TSGT after for more than 20 years of honorable service. After his retirement from the Air Force, he worked at a variety of jobs as long as he could. He married Betty Jo Hurd in 1969. She passed away on December 25, 2011 after injuries suffered in the same auto accident Mr. Furhmann is survived by 2 nieces, Sandy Shauer and her husband Bob Anderson of Los Lunas, NM and Linda Luks of Albuquerque. The family requests memorial donations to the ASPCA.
