Paulyne Marie Taylor, 75, of Amarillo died Friday, March 28, 2009. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Friday in St. Hyacinth's Catholic Church, 4500 West Hills Trail. Cremation arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. Paulyne was born April 17, 1933 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Paul and Edith Rutherford. She married James Holland Taylor in June 1957 and would have celebrated their 52nd anniversary this year. Mrs. Taylor was a nurse and EMT for many years and later was the business manager and notary for Taylor Truck Service until she retired in 2004. She was an avid reader and genealogical researcher. She wrote several books on the history of her family and helped others in studying their own. She enjoyed gardening, playing piano, fishing, sewing and was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan. She had a contagious laugh and will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She was a member of St. Hyacinth's Catholic Church. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Tillman, her father, Paul Rutherford, a brother, Gary Rutherford and her son, Lanny Snider. Survivors include her husband, James Taylor; five daughters, Pamela Westbrook and husband James, Joann Hagberg and husband Hank, Tracy Taylor, Robin Briggs and husband Robert, Magan Allen and husband Greg ;a brother, Randall Rutherford of Amarillo; five grandchildren , Scott and Michael Westbrook, Cindy Moody, Sam Hagberg, Tyra Westbrook and several great-grandchildren, all of Amarillo.
