Pedro Prieto Sr.

Pedro ""Pete"" Prieto, Sr. died Friday June 9, 2006. Rosary will be at 7:00 PM Sunday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe with Deacon Bobby Welch of Tucumcari officiating. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Mr. Prieto was born in Tucumcari. He moved to Amarillo more than 30 years ago. He worked as a carpenter at Amarillo College more than 20 years. After his retirement he worked as a carpenter at several restaurants in Amarillo. He was preceded in death by a son, Peter Joseph Prieto, Jr. in 2001. Survivors include his wife, Anna Prieto of the home, 2 daughters; Caroline Bailey and her husband William Freeman of Amarillo and Cheryl Hayden and her husband James of Bartlett, TN, 2 sisters Julia Garcia of Tucumcari, NM and Carmen Segura of Albuquerque, 2 brothers; Richard Prieto and Henry Prieto both of Tucumcari and 7 grandchildren; Tanisha Bailey, Anthony Bailey, Aaron Hayden, Austin Hayden, Bryndan Prieto, Preslea Prieto and Lesly Prieto.
