Penney Diane Huff, 68, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on February 15, 2026.
Services will be at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in the Rector Pioneer Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery. Penney’s favorite color was purple; the family would love for those attending the service to wear purple in her memory. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage.
Penney was born in Amarillo, Texas on May 14, 1957, to Juanita Gennell (Ferrill) and Robert Wesley Woods. She graduated from Palo Duro High School.
Penney married Ricky Gene Huff in Amarillo, Texas on April 30, 2002.
Penney was the first woman in Amarillo to receive a license to operate a motorcycle. She was also one of three women in the State of Texas to have the highest level of security clearance. She worked for Purolator Armored Inc. and would deliver to banks within five counties. Penney later worked for ASARCO where she worked security for the gold and silver department. She also worked as a hairdresser and started Hair It Is, and she worked at Lone Star Bar and Grill as a waitress.
Penney loved spending time with her grandchildren, they each had a special place in her heart.
Penney was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Dusky Woods.
She is survived by her husband, Ricky Gene Huff; children, Felisha Atkinson (Adam), Jessica Doss (Mark Tijerina), and Wesley Farmer (Mary); nine grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
