Pete Roa

Pete Junior Roa 64 of Amarillo died Saturday, August 3, 2013 in Amarillo. Rosary services will be at 6:00 PM Tuesday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jose Gomez, celebrant officiating. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Junior was born on July 3, 1949 in Aspermont to Pete L. and Mary Roa. They moved to Amarillo in 1960 from Aspermont. He graduated from Caprock High School and attended Amarillo College. Junior was a very special friend to all whom he met. He never forgot any one he met. He moved into the Moore assisted Living in 2012. He loved the time he spent at the Moore and at Jan Werner Adult Day Care. Junior made many friends at both places and was dearly loved by the staff and residents. Junior never met a stranger. He was a long time member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. He is survived by his sister, Eva Roa Grotefend and her fianc, James O. Beck of Amarillo; 1 niece, Angelica Roa Mata and her fianc Jason Scott Spencer of Amarillo and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Jan Werner Adult Day Care 3108 S. Fillmore, Amarillo, Texas 79110.
