Raul Eduardo Solis, 63 of Amarillo died Thursday December 03, 2004. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday December 13, 2004 at Saint Mary's Catholic Church with Monsignor Harold L. Waldow officiating. Interment will be in Llano will be in Llano Cemetery; service and arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 South Osage Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Solis was born in El Paso, TX, in 1941; at a young age he and his family relocated to Post, TX. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1959, and moved to Amarillo after his millitary service in 1962. Mr. Solis worked for the United States Postal Service until his retirement; and married Josie Arenas in June of 1992. Mr. Solis was a catholic adn a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church; he was a loving husband, father, and grand father; he also enjoyed many hobbies, such as fishing, woodworking, and enjoyed many different types of music... He was preceded in death by his parents Ascension, and Esperanza Solis; and 1 sister Romelia Valdez. Survivors include: his wife of the home; 3 daughters, Rene Cruz of Austin, TX, Raquel and husband Tommy Villalobos, and Ariana Solis both of Amarillo; 1 son Ronn Solis of Amarillo; 1 brother Ruben Solis of Lubbock, TX; and 6 sisters, Maria Elena Quinones, of Denver, CO, Alicia Varela, of Post, TX; Francisca Bustoz of Amarillo, Martha Luna of Garden City, Kansas, Susana Sierra, and Esperanza Soto both of Lubbock, TX; and 6 grandchildren, Cyan Cruz, and Rydah Cruz of Austin, TX; and Azelia Arenas, Olivia Solis, Gabriella Solis, and JesikaVillalobos, all of Amarillo.
