Raymon Virgil Ferguson, 84, Amarillo, died on Saturday, February 7, 2026. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Rector Pioneer Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home.
Raymon was born on September 28, 1941, in Anadarko, Ok. to Raymon M. and Doris Barr Ferguson. He married the love of his life, Carolyn Hart Ferguson, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in devotion and family.
Throughout his life, Raymon was known for many things, but he could most often be found outdoors-tending to his roses or working on anything he could get his hands on. When fall arrived, he was always ready to head to the hunting cabin, hopeful to “shoot a big one.” He was a true family man. And although camping was something he never quite loved, he went without hesitation because it brought joy to his life.
As he walks through the heavenly gates, he is welcomed by his loved ones who went before him, including his daughter Rosa Vera Ovalle.
Left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife, Carolyn Hart Ferguson; his daughter Rhonda Ingram and her husband William; his sons, Raymon (Guy) Virgil Ferguson and wife Michelle, Rondale Ferguson and his wife Bobbi, and Flex Ovalle; along with 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Raymon’s legacy lives on through the love of his family and the memorial he leaves behind.
