Raymond A. Guillen

Raymond A. Guillen, 74, of Amarillo died Wednesday April 29, 2020 in the comfort of his home. No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage. Raymond was born January 30, 1946 in Amarillo to Juanita and Jesus Guillen. He was a hard headed, stubborn and blunt person who didnt mind calling it how he seen it, but Raymond was a very hard-working father and devoted husband that loved his family with all of his heart. He married the love of his life, Dolores April 18, 1969. They spent over 50 years together, raising four children that meant the world to him. Raymond was a concrete finisher for over 30 years. He enjoyed Tejano, oldies, and soul music. He was a spontaneous jokester that kept you on your toes. His passion for cars was unreal. He was always buying and selling cars. If he wasnt wheeling and dealing cars, he was watching the auto trader auctions on tv. Raymond also enjoyed working out in the yard, going to the casinos in Oklahoma. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, and his two brothers, Jesus Giullen and Jerry "Cruz" Guillen. He is survived by his wife, his four children; Anthony Guillen and his significant other Bettie, Tina Guillen and her significant other Raul, Oscar Guillen, and Raymond James "Jimmy" Guillen, his three grandchildren; Isaiah, Kaylee, and Elizabeth, his sister, Rosa Stone, his "Special Friend, Na-Na, and many nieces and nephews.
