Rebecca 'Becky' Garcia

Rebecca "Becky" Garcia 83 of Amarillo died Sunday, September 19, 2021 in Amarillo. Rosary will be recited at 6 pm Wednesday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 2 pm Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Fr. Jose Gomez celebrant, officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Becky was born in Panhandle and worked on the family farm until moving to Amarillo. She was an excellent wife, mother and grandmother and aunt. She enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens. Becky also loved her dogs and birds. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Guadalupe. She married Jose D. Garcia on July 2, 1955. Becky was preceded in death by two sons, Marvin "Barney" Garcia and Gary Garcia. She is survived by her husband of 66 years; her son, Kenneth Garcia of Amarillo; her brother George Arredondo of Vega; three grandchildren, Ashley, Ivory and Breanna and seven great-grandchildren.
