Rebecca 'Becky' Zeiss

Rebecca Jean Zeiss (Becky), 63, of Amarillo died Thursday, November 17. Funeral service is 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 22, at life Church (713 N. Johnson) Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive guest 6-8 pm for visitation at the funeral home. Becky was born in Roanoke, Va. On April 5, 1959, to Jessie and Ruth Laprade. Becky was loved by many. She loved children, partially because she was a child at heart. She enjoyed going to parties and family get-togethers. Becky loved to be around her family and ride in the big rig with her brother-in-law John. She also enjoyed shopping, gambling, and loved animals. She treated her animals like they were her children. Becky was Preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Ruth Laprade, her sister, Geneva Mae Helton, and one brother David Laprade. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Zeiss, her sister, Patty Layton, two half-brothers: Dewayne Ferguson and Mathew Cootz, sister-in-law, Susie Zeiss, and two brothers-in-law, Harold Zeiss and John. W. Helton, four nieces; Kimberly Zeiss, Ruth Clark and her husband Joe, Genea Owensby, and Jessica Skipper and her husband Andrew, four nephews; Joshua Pitts, Mitchell Pitts, Billy Owensby, and Clifford Layton, six great nieces; Kearira Owensby, Misty Mae Clark, Shyann Owensby, Chasely Salazar, Kayley Skipper, and Madison Owensby, six great nephews; Benjamin Pacheco, Antonio Owensby, Austin Owensby, Brian Owensby, Andrew Layton, and Joseph Skipper, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
