Rev. Don Ralston

Rev. Don Ralston 85, of Amarillo died Thursday, January 27, 2022 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be at 11 am Friday, February 4, 2022 at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Carolyn Gable and Curtis Redmond officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Don was born on January 31, 1936 in Burleson to Marion and Ella Mae (Durham) Ralston. He lived most of his life in Amarillo. He attended Amarillo High School and Amarillo College. He worked as an appliance technician and had many other occupations. By far, Don's favorite occupation was ministering to others and sharing the Gospel with everyone he came in contact with. He started Northside Full Gospel Church in 1990. Don enjoyed reading and studying the Bible and to many, was considered a scholar. Don enjoyed coaching city league softball. He was an wonderful husband, father and was fondly referred to as "Pops", by his grandchildren. He married Ramona Ruth Carroll on January 5, 1955 in Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his wife in 2010 and a son Ken Ralston in 2008. He is survived by his daughter Ella Jones and her husband Jimmy; his son, David Ralston; three sisters, Mary, Geneva and Roberta; two brothers, John and Tommy; two grandchildren, Chris Jones and his wife Charity and Mandi Applegate and her husband, Mike; four great-grandchildren, Jacob and his wife Ashley, Brandon and his girlfriend Madi, Kiera and Emily and her husband, Eli; two great-great-grandchildren, Apollo and Lorenzo. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7pm Thursday, February 3, 2022 at the funeral home.
