Rita Maestas

A celebration of her life will be at 2:00 pm Friday, October 14 in the Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Interment will be in Llano Cemetery East by Rector Funeral Home 2800 South Osage St. Rita was born on December 25, 1949 in Tucumcari, NM to Juan and Maria Maestas. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Juan Maestas Jr., and Benny Maestas. Survivors include 2 sons, Gilbert Romero Jr. and wife Mary Ellen, and Eddy Joe Romero and wife Virginia all of Amarillo; 2 grandsons, Derek and Cameron Romero; 5 sisters, Lucy Sauceda, Gloria Diaz and husband Manuel, Martha Zepeda, Isabel Flores and husband Henry, and Juana Lucero; a brother, Joe Maestas, and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved greatly.
