Rita Lois Mcpherson

Rita Lois McPherson 74, of Amarillo died Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in Amarillo. Services will be at 1:00 PM Monday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Bob Bynum, pastor of First Baptist Church of Higgins officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Mrs. McPherson was born in Shattuck, OK. She was raised in Higgins and moved to Amarillo in 1991 from Clovis. She worked as a secretary for many years. She married Darrell McPherson in 1957. He preceded her in death in June of 2014. She was also preceded in death by 2 daughters, Rebecca "Becky" Sasser and Tammy Lewis. Survivors include two sons, Bill McPherson of Clovis, NM. and Berlyn McPherson of Amarillo; one daughter, Candy Jones of Merkel; 1 sister Joann Deitrich of Moorland, OK; 1 brother Raymond New of Shawnee, OK; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
