Robert Allen Cameron

Robert Cameron, 65, of Amarillo died Monday August 18, 2014 in Amarillo. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday August 22 at Trinity Baptist Church with Nate Magloughlin Senior Pastor officiating. Cremation Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Robert was born on April 30, 1949 to Kenneth and Bonnie Cameron. He joined the Marines during the Vietnam War after attending Tascosa High School. He loved to travel with his wife Shirley and their three dogs, he enjoyed the outdoors and loved going Bass fishing. Robert retired after working many years from BNSF Railroad. He loved his family, Robert was a wonderful husband, father and Paw Paw, he will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Robert was preceded in death by; his parents, a daughter Andrea Brandt, a brother Kenneth Dale Cameron, and father in law Robert Jackson, He is survived by his wife Shirley Ann Cameron, two sons, Jeff Cameron and wife Angie, Jake Cameron and wife June, two daughters, Robin Smith and husband Craig and Lily Curiel and husband Gilbert, a brother Johnny Ray Cameron and a sister Karen Sue Susie Slattery and mother in Law Margaret Jackson. 14 grandchildren; David, Aaron, Calen Smith, Corey, Colton, Ally, Samantha, Stephen, Cole, Avery Cameron, Austin Brandt, Rawling, Abrey and Luke Curiel.
